Made by native Wayuu artisan Gary Gonzalez in Colombia. The CHIKA hat is a handwoven black and natural mawisa straw hat with the perfect pop of color around the brim and removable hat band with whimsical pom-poms. The symbols woven into the CHIKA hat represent unity and balance.
Each artisan hat is unique and takes approximately 8-10 hours to hand weave by skilled artisans in the Guajira desert of Colombia.
Brim shape can be adjusted to your preference. Bend brim up or down as desired.
